Abbreviations

Hi, what does the different abbreviations stand for?
Example: SC, SE, SC3, SCR
more?

SCR: ~1993 - 2002
SE: 2003 - 2009

The SCR and SE designations were on the Sport Cruiser class which ranged from the 2400 - 3300. Later the SE designation was still labelled the Sport Cruiser class, though I believe it stood for "Sport Express".

The "SC" and "SR" designations (along with many other designations e.g. XR; SCL; SRL; were for the "Sport Boat" class (runabouts) which were comprised of a mix of open and closed bow boats without cabins. These ranged from 1700 up to 2700 models. These designations were for different models/features.

Just a note that my 1990 Maxum was designated as a 2755 SCR, so they must have started the SCR earlier than 1993?

My records only go back to 1993....hence the tilde (~).

That is my understanding as well. I looked back and it looks like I only answered the examples provided.

You are correct. I, admittedly, don't look at the Sport Boat class very often. There is an SC model in the Sport Boat Class. My guess would be "Sport Cabin".

You can cross reference the Year, Model and serial id here.
