Default 2100SC - How make up V Berth

Hi,

Recently purchased a 2004 2100SC. I (and the yacht broker!) can not figure out how to make the cuddy berth up into one flat bed.

I assume that there must be a board or two and some cushions. I can not find a spare board in the cuddy or any obvious in fill cushion.

I would really appreciate it if one of you guys could assist me with this.

Thanks in advance, Tim...

Hi Tim, welcome!!!!

I apologize, I'm not familiar with that exact model, though hopefully a member with that model will pipe in. In many models, it's the table drops down and sits on rails to make a solid platform. Other's have a dedicated filler piece or two with a base on it. Some models the back cushions are used as filler cushions, while other's have a dedicated filler cushions.

Some owners find the filler cushion gets in the way, particularly if they don't overnight and that accessory finds it's way deep into storage to be forgotten when hte boat is sold. You might want check if the PO still has it, if that is possible.

Good luck.

Welcome aboard Tim, and congrats on the purchase.

While not a 2100 SC, my wife and I have a 2004 model year 2400 SC3 - basically the larger version of your boat. Our boat has dedicated filler boards and cushions to make up the complete birth. There really isn't an effective way to store the filler boards and cushions on board when they are not in place so, if there were on the boat you'd certainly be able to find them - if not trip over them.

Agree with Shrew, see if you can connect with the previous owner.

Regards,

Dan

Hey Tim welcome to the club!

For what it is worth all I did was to google maxum 2004 2100 SC and I came up with alot of pic's that could help you figure this out. Or try to find a old maxum dealer (yes I know they don't sell them anymore) and give them a ring.

For what I saw when I googled this you should be able to figure out where your cushions are coming from, if you even have them with all the pictures.

Good call Roger,

If you can't find one, I bet you could make one. Just a thought. It's a new enough model. Check with a Bayliner or Searay dealer to see if there are still replacements in stock if making one isn't an option.

Hi Tim and welcome!
I have a 2008 2100 Sc and under the starboard cushion there is a white board like a cutting board that slides over the opening. The side or back cushions slide up and out to cover it. I just saw that my interior is different than yours. Could not find a diagram for a 2004 however the diagram for 2003 and 2005 were the same. I have a diagram for you See Attachment

Hi gpr70mph. As Seapuppy already said, welcome to the site. Please feel free to simply post the solution. That way, when someone else has the same question, it's in the archive. There is always someone looking for information, even if those who lurk are hesitant to actually post the question.

Try reading the Manual: http://www.maxumboatparts.com/manuals/1758960.pdf

I am glad I found that site, it helped me figure out a few things with my boat.
