Default 1997 owners manual

Hi everyone! We're new here, so have some patience please. We are looking for an owners manual for a 1997 2300 SR. We've looked for hours and can't find one. Any suggestions?

Welcome aboard

Have you look under Documents of this site or try maxumcustomercare.

IMO what you really need is the mercruiser manuals for the engine and drive, under Documents the owners manual has little info.

Default maybe not an owners manual

Ok. Maybe I don't need an owner's manual. What I need is some sort of guidebook showing what does what. You know, like "This button marked trim does _________" And "This gauge should be pointing straight up or something is wrong" And 'Here is where the cuddy cabin stuff goes" And "This is how you clean stuff".

Trim in lowers the drive, trim out raises it. The trailer button raises to a higher position for trailering.

Most gauges are in the normal when the needle is straight up. There is an alarm buzzer if running hot, low oil pressure, or low gear lube.

Cleaning is not something I seen in most manuals. Go to West Marine site and review products for cleaning hull, vinyl, ....

No such thing exists for any boat. Each item comes with its own manual. some of them are merely pamphlets, like you'd get with a coffee maker. Some service manuals, such as those for the engine and outdrive must be purchased separately.

Unlike cars with comprehensive owners manuals, or airplanes with comprehensive instructor-led training. Boats have a steep learning curve.

Thank you! Now I know. Your answer was very helpful. I guess I'll be here asking a lot of questions.
