Default 1993 2200SC

Hello everyone. I am new to the Maxum owners club. I inherited a 1993 2200SC and am in the process of replacing the power plant. She had a rough life of sitting without attention. I think she is a good looking girl in need of some TLC.

I am posting to see if anyone knows of this model. I haven't seen any post on here about this model, and it took a while for me to find out repair information seems to only matter for the power plant and stern drive (Mercruiser 5.7 and Alpha one Gen. 2).

I am very proud to join the club. This site looks like a great community. I look forward to one day contributing to newbie like myself. (Though it will be quite a while while I absorb and learn from fellow boaters).

Thanks for the great resources!!!

I'll spare you the life story, but basically grew up in Northern VA, hopped around the US then ended up in Fredericksburg VA, then moved down to Tampa FL last year.

Don't forget to post pics of your new girl!

Mars, welcome to the zoo....I grew up in Fla and Va....dad was navy...lived in norfolk and after a stint in the AF and some time...I went to work at newport news shipbuilding and DD. co...worked on the detail design of the SSN21 class subs....of course now I'm up in the pacnorwest and loving it....great place to boat..

as for your boat goes....a 5.7ltr engine is an awesome combination for that size boat.....too bad it was neglected...but it sounds like your going to bring it back to life...

hope you come here often and don't be afraid to ask away...someone will try and answer your questions....
