Default 1988 Maxum 1700

I'm hoping someone can help me out - I've been all over the internet hunting for original specs. for my 1988 Maxum 1700. Maxum dosen't have info. from that far back available online. If anyone has a link to that information, or has the same model, any info would be appreciated. I purchased the boat from the second owner and they did not have any of the original paperwork.

Thanks!!

1988 Model 1700 w/ Force 85hp outboard.

welcome too the zoo....hope someone can help out...but probably one of the best way's to get info is to get the HIN number on the stern...call maxum and they can send out a brochure and original owners manual....

Hi, we have a 1988 Maxum 17 ft boat also. It is an inboard outboard 3.0 Mercruiser, but we do still have all of the original paperwork if I can help you.

Thanks for the welcome!
We have had our maxum since it was new and no real big problems with it. We bought another old boat (1983 Regal Princess) and busted something in the upper outdrive unit the 3rd time we took it out. At least we still have our Maxum.

Hi JakeZ, welcome aboard!!!

Unfortunately, the original poster (OP) only submitted a single post and that was back in April 2009. It looks like the OP "Bluedocs" joined, logged in, submitted a post and then never logged in again because his Join Date, Post Date, and Last Logon are all 04/07/09. However he could very well be lurking and not logging on.

We do certainly appreciate the offer to help and look forward to hearing more from you.
