Default Should I have engines leveled after transport

I having my 37 Maxum transported from Tn. to Fl. for the winter. I wanted to do by water but my buddies had some health issues. Do you recommend that I have my engines leveled after the transport.

Transporting the boat should not mess up the engine alignment however the alignment to shafts should be checked every few years.

That boat is made to bang along in seas far greater than any pothole the transport is going to encounter over road. I don't see how you would get engine movement short of removing the engines.

I recently had a problem after transporting my 41 SCA with twin 454 MerCruiser's. Apparently my exhaust risers still had water in them during the transport and traveling down the hills allowed water to enter my engine through open valves. Upon destination, they would not start. We had to pull the plugs and dry out the cylinders . The engines are fine now but I would recommend running the engines for a minute after pulling from the water to discharge water from the exhaust risers

Why not just pull the manifold drain plugs?

Running without water can damage the impeller.

The impeller will not be dry: it will be pumping the water which is sitting in the water inlet line through and out the exhaust. The inlet line sits lower than the manifold and strainer and always holds water. It is not designed ideally on this model. Actual dry time is very limited if you stop the engines when water stops coming out. It may not take an actual minute (figure of speech).
