Default Maxum 3500 SY Cockpit Sunpad Conversion

I have just purchased a 2007 3500 SY - the dealer told me that the cockpit wrap around seating at the back of the boat can convert into a large sunpad - the boat came with two starngely shaped additional cushions and try as I have I just can't figure out how it turns into a sunpad and neither can he! Does anyone have this set-up and can they send photographs so I can see if (a) the cushions I have even belong to this boat and (b) what the sunpad is supposed to look like.
Many thanks

Hi I have a 3500, the back seat comes with an extra cushion( the cushion looks like a seat and it folds right in the middle), and a wood frame that holds it in place...(he wood piece is rectangular shaped and it has a long hinge running in the middle so it folds not to take too much space when you store it) sounds you are missing the wood frame that goes under the cushion... I hope this helps good luck...how do you like your 3500?

Sorry for the late response, I've been at the Lake. I don't have pictures so I'll try to describe how the aft sun pad works. If you lift the aft bench seat ( it is hinged) you will se a recess in the fibreglass about 3/4"x3/4"x20'. If you lift the hinged seat opposite you will see a similar recess but shorter (about 9"). The recesses are the bearing locations for that weird plywood with a piano hinge you should have found under the forward birth. Put that plywood into the recesses between the bench seats and shove the starngely shaped cushions in over the plywood and between the seats and you will have a most excellent sunpad and bed to two.

I'll have to check this out on my 98 2700SCR. I wasn't sure how this thing went together.

I have a 1998 2700SCR that I just purchased. I found the wood frame strapped in the port side of the engine compartment.

i had the cushion in my 2700 but no wood frame...what i ended up doing was sticking two boards into the cushions(thru the zipper and i hollowed out the cushions a little to fit the boards in). now i dont need to mess with board and cushions, i just fold the cushion and store it

Sorry everyone, I thought I'd have the pictures by now but unfortunately, I've been a bit under the weather. I'll have them posted no later than the end of the week.

Default Sunpad Conversion

OK, here are the boards for my sunpad. The boards sit on a groove under the one seat and a metal channel under the rear seat. Since the boat didn't come with any cushions, I'm having some made now.
