Default Lofran Windlass 3200SCR (1996)

Took her out for a company getaway yesterday (yes maiden voyage and Friday the 13th!)

All went well.

First time use of the Lofran Windlass, and I've got a question about the operation of it.

First of all, I believe its the X1 model, from looking at their website.
The two foot switches do nothing up front. (probably an easy fix)
The toggle switch on the helm works though.

When I try to put the anchor down, the "finger?" prevent the chain from falling. If I manually move the (finger or stopper?) out of the way, it operates as normal.
What am I doing wrong?
The manual does not explain that very well.

Thanks

I looked at the unit more closely today. It a "Progress One" model. I have sent an email to the US distributor.

The foot switches on mine didn't work either. checking for 12v at the common, then taking them apart, and I found a single galvanized washer for the switch contact. Some emery paper, and cleaner until the badly rusted washer was clean, and shiny again, some NO-Alox to keep them from rusting, and reassembled, and they run like a clock.

Watch for the spring, it flew 3 ft in the air, and quick reflexes kept it from a swim.
