Default Breaker Panel in lieu of Fuse Busses

My 98 SCR3200 has begun to show some signs of electronic corrosion, especially in the area of the two fuse buss panel behind the panel door at the helm. It was suggested to me over the weekend by a fellow boater that I might want to consider replacing those buss panels with marine breaker panels, thereby eliminating the need for fuses altogether. Anyone ventured down this road?
