What size prop?

HI , can someone help me?...i have a 1998 28scr and i wanted to know what pitch prop i should have or what came with the boat....it has a single screw 7.3

can you give us more information??engine size...type..ie merc or penta??...duo-prop?? ....and if you know it....gear ratio??..
how bout looking on the side of the hub and copy the numbers on there........what is your WOT??..wide open throttle....
that top speed is what will dictate what prop you need to have...

Hi Tasper, You probably have a Bravo III leg on that boat with that engine which is two counter rotating propellers on a single shaft. I have a 96 2700 SCR with the Bravo III turning a 20" duo prop and that is probably what you have.

I agree with tex. My 1997 2800scr has the Bravo III and came with the 7.4L (454). Mine came with a 24P, however that is overpropped. The Merc. prop calculators say it's out of range and Boat US says they never shipped a 24P. I can at least tell you that seems too large.

What prop is on there now?
