Default New Magma party size kettle 2400 SCR

Just bought the party size magma kettle grill... Can't wait to cook some dinner tomorrow night!!! I used the rail mount and I'm not 100% sure if I'm comfortable with it yet. It feels like it will shift downward easily (and I have it cranked down tight!!!). They supply a nylon spacer to use between the rail and clamp, but it is VERY slick and doesn't grip the rail too well. I'll report back with results of the maiden voyage(hopefully tomorrow).

They make many different ways to mount your grill if you still have problems with your rail mount.I have slide in connection fitting that works good.

I used to use the rail mount. It is difficult at times to keep it from spinning. I now use the pole holder mount which works great.

I made a separate post about this, but I figured I'd show you how I made a brace for the kettle... Makes it much sturdier!!!

Used mine for first time this weekend love it. I have a mount that is bolted to back of boat rod just slides in and a pin locks it in place.

We have the rail mount and use it with the bushing.

No failures to hold in 4 years.

Last week, we cooked a pizza on ours--turned out great.

I still have my 2004 2400SE and went with the Magma adapter for the port fishing rod holder. VERY stable and all I do is loosen the aft canopy brace, bungee it forward while cooking and it works like a champ.
