Default If thinking about installing a windlass.. FYI

installing a Windlass in my new to me 2800. The boats already have the number 2 wire install and also the #16 control wires.

BUT

The ends / starts of the wires are rolled up behind the shelf in the bathroom.

Thought I would throw that in so nobody is searching under the dash and in the engine compartment for an hour...

If I recall someone else was does the same thing earlier this year and made the same discovery. Interesting place to leave the end spooled up.

I installed a Lewmar V700G on my 2400 SCR 8 yrs ago. Best $$$ I ever spent. I ran heavy gauge directly from the battery. Took me a few days to install but well worth the money. I have 25 ft of chain and 100 ft of rope connected to a Bruce Anchor. It hooks fast here even in San Francisco Bay and is so convenient...Flip the switch and thats it......
