Default Does the Forward Bilge Drain to Aft? (2400SCR)

Thanks in advance for any help!

I just bought this 02 2400SCR put the boat into a storage yard on the trailer. I didn't point the bow up far enough, and we got some rain. From what I can tell I had a leak on the top hatch of the cabin, and the cabin area flooded (about 2"-3" above the cabin floor). I jacked up the bow as far as I could and came back the next day to remove the water. However, most of the water was gone, just a slight puddle at the back of the cabin. I bailed out the remaining water in the bilge, and sponged up the carpet.

Questions:
1) Does the forward bilge have it's own drain?
2) Does the forward bilge drain into the aft, and out the transom?
3) If 1 & 2 are NO then where did all the water go?

I doubt the forward bilge has it's own drain. If it does not drain to the aft bilge then it must have it's own bilge pump. BUT since you stated that raising the bow caused the water to drain then I assume it's draining to the aft bilge. Did the water level in the aft increase as the forward decreased? Or did you have the plug out?

The forward bilge has its own bilge pump. There is no transfer tube between the forward and aft bilges. If you lower the trailer does the forward bilge refill? The water is probably moved to the back of the forward bilge that you cannot see under the midberth.

On what Mike said.
No drain from front to aft bilge.

Thanks all. I went back the boat and lowered the toungue of the trailer. There was some more water that collected in forward portion of the bilge under the table. However, it did not look like enough to make an inch in the cabin area.

Slightly concerned where the water went...

I did see a tube running into the forward bilge. I'm assuming this is the AC condensate or bathroom drain? Could rhe water have gone back though it and out somwhere else?

Leave the plug in and raise the tongue again and see if the water makes its way to the aft bilge.

My 2500 SE has a sump pump for the shower in the forward bilge but not a bilge pump. I've never had water in the forward bilge but 'assume' it would drain to the aft bilge.

Most boat use foam around the fuel tank and the foam sucks up and holds water. My 2400 has that drain tube into the bilge compartment where the floor hatch is, I think this just runs back to where the forward bilge pump is. The AC condensate just drains into the bilge, rotted the floor on my friends 2400. When the weather is niceuse a garden hose soaking one spot at a time to isolate the leak.
