As simple as it sounds follow the manufacturers recomendations. Get a owners manual or clymers or seloc service manual and follow the instructions.

Good luck

I do have the owners manual but it does not give advice/direction on winterizing. I was hoping someone might have some firtsthand knowledge.

Tom-----what engine do have? What out drive do you have? How can we tell anything without you telling us of what you have got to winterize? Do you have any mechanical experience? This is not brain surgery...change engine oil and filters including water. Drain engine block . Change out drive fluid and replace. Fog engine. This is all in your owners manual.

If this doesn't ring a bell hire out a marine mechanic, it will be money well spent.

Good luck

Roger

Have fun

Winterization info should be in the Mercruiser Service manuals. Here also is a quick and simple how to but locating drains and such on each engine and year can be different.

http://www.mercstuff.com/winterizing.htm

Also, if you have a sink or head (any type of plumbing) then you will also need to drain and winterize that as well. That is more like an RV though so just drain it all, put some pink antifreeze in the holding tank and pump it through all the plumbing.
