Default spun prop?

Hi folks, bought a 1991 2100 ldc with the dreaded Ldrive about a year agao. Have put time into repairs and finally was able (I thought) to take it to the lake and give it a test run. Did and engine test with muffs on prior to the trip and the prop spun forward and reverse no problems. Got it in the water, fired it up but nothing except obvious water moving at the stern which I assume is from the water cooling system. Does anyone know if there is a kit to repair the prop or do I have to pull it and take it to a marine shop to have it done. And if such a kit for diy exists where do I find a part number? Finding parts for this beast is a job. Second issue is the trim, seems it has a leak. What kind of fluid is used in a trim system?
Thanks for any help.

A spun prop will still turn with minimal load. See if it turns while the boat is on the trailer.

To be honest it sounds like the boat is not shifting into gear or the lower unit is blown. Do you hear any sounds when shifting in and out of gear? With the engine off put it into forward and try rotating the prop counterclock wise if it turns freely the dog clutch is not engaged.

With the engine off first push it in forward and turn the prop see what happening, then in reverse and try again to turn the prop. Post the results here.

Sorry for the delay. With the engine off and in gear the prop spins freely forward and reverse. No clicking sounds. With the muffs on and engine running the prop does turn I'm thinking just due to friction and momentum of the shaft.

Your boat don't shift in the gear. Or you have more serious problem in the outdrive. Open the engine hood and see if anything move when you shift in gear. Do again back and forward. And pay attention if move eazy. Post here results. I suspect one of your cable is broke. The one what goes to the drive.

Don’t recall the shift layout of the Ldrive. Can you trace the shift cable to a lever near the lower part of the power head? If so does it move when the cable is shifted? Try disconnecting the cable and see if you can move the lever by hand and if the prop engages this way.
