Default Props

Recently bought an '07 1800 SR3. Been in process of shaking it out. Was surprised to find it so slow to plane off with the 4.3 V6. Went with a 4 blade 19p prop instead of the 3 blade 21p.
Made a real difference, had 4 people out with full compliment of stuff and she was so much easier out of the hole, and quicker to plane. Still think ultimately a dolphin plate will be needed as well, or tabs, but at least now I can wait for that. Didn't fully air it out with others on board, so not quite sure where it will max out on rpm. But I was surprised how slow she was for a boat with that much power, I think it was way over-prop'd. Is 21p the factory standard?
Anyone with similar exp.?

Thanks
