Default Is this 1997 model boat a maxum 1800 or 1900 bowrider model?

Seller says it is a 1900 XR, and it looks like that but in my opinion this Hull ID# refers to a 1800. The hull # is: USKA71MAA797. Kan anyone coment please?
Thanks, Mag

welcome to the zoo....I don't know much about that size boat...but others will.....I'd call USBOATS and give them the HIN number...they will be able to tell you everything you need to know about it..

Mag535-
I have a '92 1800SR and it's hull ID is USKB63MEB292. Not sure how the make-up of the hull ID indicates model type, sorry. Like the seapuppy said, you best give a call to USBOATS. I have had luck calling Maxum Customer Service @ 360-435-8957 for help so that's an option. Good luck unravelling the mystery!

USKA71MAA797 indicates that it is a 1900XR. A 1700XR would be MF. There was no 1800XR availible in 1997.

Here is a good resource to get some of the info. from the HIN:

http://www.boatsafe.com/nauticalknowhow/hin.html

Note there is a link within that page which directs you to the USCG MIC Database:

http://www.boatsafe.com/nauticalknowhow/hin.html

That is a searchable database of the Manufacturers MIC (The first 3 characters in a HIN).

Unfortunately, the specific information regarding the model is located in the Hull Serial Number section (characters 4~8) in the HIN. While these links can't get you that info. I thought it was worth posting just the same.
