Default 2100 SC Seat bolt size

Hello all,
I am a new owner of a 2001 2100SC which we are in the process of sorting out in time for the summer season. With many jobs to finish, one I am stuck on is the refitting of the front seats. The bolts were extremely rusty and need replacing but I am told they are not metric so I assume they are UNC or UNF? Does anybody know the size so I can order some please? I am referring to the four bolts that hold the seats to the runners. The type of seat we have are the two back to backs that fold flat for sun loungers. Sadly in deepest darkest Devon nobody stocks anything other than metric! Thank for your help in advance.

Welcome aboard

Are you replacing both bolts and nuts? If so I would just get the closest metric.

Hi Mike,

Wasn't looking to replace the nuts as they are captive in the runners. If I have to drill them out and replace them I will but I had hoped it could pick up some replacements. Nobody here can match the thread so I can't even order any off Ebay.

Understood. Sorry I do not know the thread size to help.

As a last resort can you guess the size and order +/- from that, so 3 shots at getting it right?

Thanks Mike,

It was a bit of a long shot. Looks like this has turned into a bigger job than I thought it would be. Time to start ordering random bolts!

I need one bolt for my seat too! If you find the correct size before I do, please post the size up.
Cheers, Ian.

Ian,

By luck I now know the size. They are 1/4 UNC x 3/4. Just to make sure, these are the 8 bolts that hold the seats to their runners. My boat has the standard back to back seats. Hope this helps? I can find the link for where I ordered them from if you need it. £1.80 worth of bolts and £4.00 postage but worth it to get the seats back in!

Thanks for the info. I need a bolt for the base of the helmsman seat but the thread size might be good, cheers.
