Default 2007 1800 MX question

Hi, I'm new here, and while I'm not a Maxum owner yet, I am very close to becoming one.
Just wondering if any maxum gurus out there would be able to tell me where the wood is in a maxum 1800MX 2007.
I've heard they share the same hull as bayliner but with a different deck.
Could someone enlighten me???

ozzie welcome aboard.

I don't know the exact details about that year and model but the transom and strings are made of wood embedded in fiberglass. This is common on many boats. The deck may be either fiberglass or wood with marine capret. If the deck is one piece of carpet glued down then there is marine plywood under it. If it has snap in carpet then fiberglass deck.

I have the 2006 year 1800MX with the optional snap in carpet. I know it's fiberglass under that. But I havent really snooped around under the floors. So couldn't tell ya. I'll bet mmwjr is right though. It's a starter boat so I'd imagine wood is used in its construction. My floors are still solid, so we'll see!

There's wood but it's encapsulated in fiberglass.
