Default 1999 2100 SR - Odometer/Tachometer/Battery Voltage Gauges Not working

Does anyone know if the odometer(speedometer), tach & volt gauge are commonly fused on a 1999 2100SR. All three of these gauges seemed to stop working similtaneously in my 1999 2100 SR. The other three dash gauges, oil pressure, temperature and fuel, are all working fine. Thanks!

welcome to the zoo....

I'd check the connections for corrosion before I started pulling anything else apart....add some dielectric grease to the connections to help prevent the effects of corrosion..

start with pulling all your fuses one by one and check them, then re seat them.

Since all three are out, something is blown or lose.

there are fuses in little water proof cansters around your battery switch, pull the cover off anf check those fuses too.

I have an 03 2100 SC that halfway through the day I had the same thing happen, no tach, speedo or voltage. I have looked at gauges, grounds and fuses and see nothing wrong
It would be helpful if you could post your results. Thanks

The speedo is mechanical, no electric other then a dash light.

There is an 80 amp fusible link sitting on top of the starter that cuts out to save your harness if your running on BOTH batteries.

This thing will get hot and melt, to prevent the harness from frying.

Stick your head upside down and back wards to see if its cooked.

I checked it out briefly (Ill pull it off tonight) but it doesn't look too bad. Maybe I'm missing something but if I have voltage to all these gauges how would this be the culprit? Or does it have something to do with the senders/sensors for the gauges?

Any idea of a part no?

I have a 1999 1900SR and I can tell you that the OEM gauges don't seem to like moisture too well. 2 years ago I replaced the Tach and Engine Temp gauges. Now the Tach just crapped out on me again.

I purchased a full set of OEM guages just for the Tach, so if anyone needs a particular one, send me a note and I'll give you a good deal.

Hey Roo_Man, sorry to tell you this after the fact, but Faria would have fixed those for you for little money.
