Default 1998 maxum 1900 sr2

Is there a place to find all the specifics about this boat? It's a 4.3L, assuming carberted. Like to know boat weight etc for two vehicle consideration.

Welcome aboard

You may be able to find the manual on MaxumCustomerCare but the site is not maintained and links for half the site no longer work.

You could use a friends truck and take it to a track scale to have it weighed.
I suspect the boat weight about 2200 lbs then 1500 lbs for the trailer plus gas,...

5000 lbs is a safe bet.

That's what I figured; got it you'll trash the vehicle's tranny if not more.

The 4.3 and drive are 1000#, rest of the boat is over 1000#, and the trailer is over 1000#. Then add fuel gear, .... easily 4000# +

Dry Weight: 2367lbs (Figure at least 2500 wet).
Trailer: 1,100

You're at or over 3,500 with no gear. The tow vehicle specs I found show a tow capacity of 1,500 -3,500. I suspect because it's an SUV they are accounting for the potential of 5 adult men and gear in the tow vehicle, which reduces the tow capacity.

It's probably physically doable but pushing the limits of the transmission and breaking system. The biggest concern is that you'll be able to back the boat down to launch it, but then struggle to pull it up the ramp at the end of the day. I've seen issues at steep ramps where the tow vehicle couldn't haul the boat up the ramp.
