Default 1800 MX Problems

I have owned this boat since new and have had a fair number of problems. It has been in for 9 warranty claims for everything from trim failure, PS failure, etc. I have friends that have this same 3.0 Mercury with Alpha 1 and have had no where near the problems I have had. The boat only has a 124 hours on it, so you can imagine my frustration. Should I bne looking for another boat or stick with it. I have a 2+4 Mercury warranty. The latest was a thrown belt and $400 later I get it back. All my friends said to get an outboard, but in this type of boat there were very few if none in the way of choices for a OB vs. IO.

get a new marine mechanic.

Get one local guy who know what he's looking at and go thru it for your peace of mind.

Your Dealer dose not give a poop about warranty work.

You know the dealer after 9 visits thinks your a pain in the ......

go to your friends mechanic......

What year is the boat Mike? Have all the issues been mechanical issues?
