Default Shifter/Throttle removal

I am replacing the side panels on my Maxum sport boat and need to remove the shifter/throttle. How do you remove the handle so I can replace the panel?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome aboard

Do you have a quicksilver or US Marine control?

I have a US Marine control.
You pull the handle to disengage the shifter not push a button
( hope that made sense)

I’m not fimilar with the US Marine unit. I do understand what you mean by not push the button to disengage the shift mechanism but I don’t know what you mean by pull the handle to do so.

Anyway I’m not sure how to remove the handle on this unit. Hopefully some who does chimes in.
