Default Replacing the kitchen faucet

I just ordered a new faucet for my 01 3000 scr and just have a couple questions to ask for those who have replaced it before.

If I have the pump turned off will I get any leakage or do I need to drain the tank?

I have the original factory plastic pipe. Do you use a pipe dope or tape or nothing on the connections ?

I do know the frig has to come out to get to the fitting.

Thanks

Roger

You don't need to drain the tank. You will get a little bit of water when you disconnect the lines. It's just the water that is right up to the fitting. If you can tip the hose and drain a little out it helps. It's not flowing. A few rags should be enough.

I apologize for bumping this back out again but those who have replaced there faucet in their 3000 kitchen what did you remove to get to it. Drawers, frig or burners?

Thanks

Roger,
I was going to replace my faucet too until I discovered that it only needed new rubber seats that can be replaced easily. Unless the faucet is damaged or too corroded, just remove the red (hot) tab and blue (cold) tab, then a Phillips screw for each handle exposes the old rubber seat. The original faucet is perfectly suited for that boat - a new set may or may not be the best option.

Thanks George! I've tried to break them down with no luck. But thanks anyway...

Looks good! I got my faucet from amazon too. Just had to remove the bottom drawers and it was a fairly easy procedure getting the old out and new in. Awesome!
