Replacing the decking of my boat

I have a 1996 cuddy cabin. After inspecting the boat this spring, I have found two weak spots on the deck. We wanted to keep the boat around for another year or so before we sell/trade it in, but don't want to spend the money on someone else replacing the deck. My father-in-law is going to help me. We both have some experience with carpentry. We have never done any work this in depth on a boat though. I am looking for advice or to see if someone else has all ready taken on this task and would be willing to share the experience.

I haven't seen much posted on this site from folks who have done this but maybe someone will chime in. If not you may want to try other sites such as BOC (Bayliner) as I know there are several threads on this there and all brands are similar in this topic.

Basic outline is pull up carpet, then flooring, inspect stringers for damage and check foam for holding water. Then rebuild in reverse flow.
