Default Radar to high

Ok so I have posted this for the benefit of the forum, i have solved the problem but wanted to share, I have a maxum 3500 and one of my local bridges is to low (my boat could never be to high). So at the upper ends of the tide I can not make it through with my radar assembly up(when the tide breaks 1.0m) so I have been leaving it off until today, with some good old thinking and a helping hand from a mate I set about to fabricate a folding radar, and with some stainless plate, hinges, bolts and welding I can now undo on wing nut, unzip my back canvas and fold my radar upside down into my cabin for the trip under the bridge and back up again easily

Below are some pics
