Does look nice Ed, if it wasn't for the heat build up I'd be doing that immediately.

yo dan...

i must say it only gets hot with the extremely high temps we had a few days ago..... but on that day the boat was in the slip in the harbour with no wind at all and full in the sun it was about a 108 F in the sun.......so with the normal temps here of about a 71/76 F it's no problem at all.......and when we take the boat out for a trip the platform gets wet....

Hiya Ed (and hope you've fully recovered),

Thanks for that information but during the summer here in the Washington DC area it is very, very common for the temps to be anywhere between 90F to 100F, then add that temp to having that deck baking in the sun - well, I'm just not sold on it yet.

Still pondering.....

hai dan,

txs for the human interest in my health, well i'm almost totally recovered....now working 50%. after a totall of 13 months at home, more than 2 months in the hospital and 6 operations i'm finally happy the way it go's now.....

after we went away with the boat on that hot day we had no problems with a hot deck any more because of moving the boat, the deck is getting wet by moving and swimming.........

anyway......i also thought about it befor i bought it, and did'nt saw the problem of a hot deck and still don't see it...

We have carpets for the cockpit and swim platform that we snap in place during the winter.
