well...we actually had a good day today..once the fog burned off....
we've had an extremely cold and wet this yr..had about 2ft of snow...my boat didn't fair well....
we got that 20 degs 2 week period before christmas.....we normally get christmas off and rarely does it get ugly like this yr...we had planned on taking a few days for the boat...well...that didn't happen due to the freeze...and I had left about 15 gals of water in the fresh water tank..
well..when I was able to finally get to the boat after a few days...the water tank was a giant ice cube....
when it finally thawed out about a week later..the water pump had split wide open and all 15 gals of water was in my bilge...yep...took a bit to get the pump off and replaced...had to disassemble the exhaust fan...
once I installed the pump...I had to replace a fitting in the galley that goes to the faucet..that let loose also...about a gal or two of water in the salon...
got it dried out and pressure tested the water system...all is good..and we're now ready to go out again....

sorry to hear your frozen..hope you were able to winterize your boat...

It has been the worst winter for snow in many years. I was able to get it winterized and filled with marine antifreeze. Wrapped up in shrink wrap till spring.

The Eastern Wa and Northern Id region set a record for snow in Dec. A little over 70" fell from start to finish. It got so bad, I took a second job plowing snow after flagging down a plow truck asking how I could help. I was in a truck of my own the next morning. Most has melted off now and the jet stream is well North of us for the moment. But I love the snow and moved here for that, and other, reasons. I still go out to the garage and long for the days of summer too though..

I've been called worse... Having two 4x4's and a snow blower, makes more of a minor inconvienience I guess. I started writing the date on the window of the boat (in the dust), everytime I am out in the garage. Now when I go out there, it helps to see how fast time is passing. Over a month and a half since I wrote 1 dec 08. Guess I love all seasons really... Wow, I never noticed how weird I really am..

Naw, its been melting off slowly over the last few weeks. What was once about 2-3 feet is now down to about 8 inches. Got a little more this morning, but just enough to make it slippery.

Long time till summer boating here, 3' or so of snow on the ground and 2' of ice on the lake in front of my house, on the positive side it's supposed to be above freezing tomorrow for the first time in a month.

The farmers Almanac said that we were supposed to have most of our snow before January then just cold and no snow...... Well we had 60to 70cms in January and we just got another 15 to 20cms to start February. This was our eighth storm so far this season.
I will say they got one part right the COLD!!!!!!!
We have not seen the pavement on our street sense last weekend because the salt won't melt the snow.
We are supposed to have plus temperatures this weekend.
Come on spring!!!!

It went up to 81 degrees yesterday. The wind was blowing about 25 mph though. The pool was 77 degrees. Still a little cool to go swimming. A "cold" front came through this morning and it is only supposed to get up to 60 degrees today. You don't have to tell me it's been a rough winter!
