Default My November boating trip!

This Wednesday I am taking off for Tampa Florida. I have been invited to help crew a friend's Nortic Tug from Jacksonville through the canal and back up to Tampa where they live.

They started here in Peoria on the Illinois river this spring, went north through the Great Lakes and down the east coast. I am driving their truck that they drove up here from their home in Florida this spring and will fly back after all is done. This is their second lap on the loop circuit.

Looking forward to all that I will see and experience! If you follow Facebook maxum's owners page I will be posting on it. Pictures are so much easier than doing it there.

As most of you know I really have had a life changing year and so this trip will help in all ways.

Roger

A speeding ticket, dophins sightings, good food, learning the ICW, trying to get use to a 8mph boat that doesn't get up on plane, plenty of cold beer and a good friend to do this with, this adventure came to a close yesterday afternoon when we moored the boat in its new home in Clearwater. It has been an interesting 2 weeks.

If anyone ever gets a chance to do all or a portion of the the loop ,go for it. My friend Ron who owns the boat has made friends from all over because of his travels and I got to meet a few of then. I am staying at their house until after Thanksgiving, leaving for home around the 29 th. Lucky me!
