Anyone have a 17P they want to sell? Mercruiser A2 drive.

Have you checked iBoats? You can get a nice shiny new one for just over $100.

Personally I would go for the $115 one (the Solas Rubex) with the interchangeable hub. Then if you trash it again, you can buy just the prop (no hub) for $80.
You may also want to check your local prop shop. They probably have some new and used ones that they may sell.

thanks mcoffey. It's just a habit for me to check the "by owner" market before purchasing new.
I have shopped iboats and that seems to be the best price and I've been looking at the one you mention. The prop shop here sells used props without hubs for $80; more expensive than Solas from iboats.
I just found a near new solas stainless prop on craigslist for $125 and will check that out today.
I appreciate the recommendation.

No problem at all. Just figured by the time to bought one and paid to have it shipped to you, probably real close to the price of new. That SS prop sounds like a good deal though, good luck on that.

I do. Bought it and only used about 10 minutes. Too low of a pitch for my boat. I'll get the details of it when I get home today.

Thanks Jerry, I'd like more info on your prop.
I am looking at a stainless Solas prop, only problem is that it is a 15 1/4 diameter. I don't think there will be a lot of difference in hole shot over my current 14 1/4 x 19 prop. Though that's a whole new thread in itself.

What boat do you have? The prop is a 15X17P 3 blade Michigan Vortex with #102 Hub kit. $80 Shipped?

stainless ??
i would never go for that one.
if you hit something you'll likely damage the outdrive
it can be a decision between $ 110 or a few thousand
i would allways stay on the safe side and replace it with a standard prop

Thanks rens, good advice. I occasionally end up in some shallow water and think aluminum is better for my situation.
