Default Want to buy: Cockpit hatch for cabin

Hi

I've just bought myself a Maxum 2700 SCR '95, and I need this hatch for cabin entrance.
Anyone who got a spare of this, or know where I can get hold of one? And what are the prices for this second hand?

This is a picture of the selfmade replacement I've got now.

Thanks for any informative response.

Hey Calle,
Funny that you posted this, I have a '94 2700 SCR and I have a homemade latch myself. Yours looks a little neater than mine but I know exactly how you feel about finding that original hatch. I'm gonna check the local junk yards when it gets a little warmer out and look for a match so I'll keep an eye out for you too. If you find a place please let me know.

Hey Joe. That would be very nice if you came over couple of hatches. I also need the door, with hinges. But anything original or aftermarket parts are ok. The arctic winter here have made the wood shrink, so the sealant are broken. So I have to do something with it. Maxum boats are scarce in Scandinavia, so my best luck are in the States. I'll notify you here in this thread if I find any parts.

The 94 and 95 are fairly similar? Which other years are equivalent that we might use parts from?

These guys did my buddy's 2700 SCR's cabin hatch using bronze polycarbonate. Turned out real nice. They may need a pattern or drawings.

Yea Calle they are almost identical, i'm pretty sure the hatches are the same size (even the 2400 and 2500s have very similar design if not the same).
My cabin door is made of dark tinted black glass (I assumed its original but I have no idea).

Thanks AlwaysSober, I think this might be the best option since I wasn't able to find these hatches all last season.

bishop007 welcome aboard

this is a 2 year old thread not sure these folks are still around. Your best bet is to start a new post. BTY cannot tell from your question if you are looking or selling. If looking I doubt you will fine one.
