Default Maxum 2300SC Cabin Hatch - Need to replace hinges

I need to replace one (or both?) of the hinges on the cuddy cabin companionway hatch on my Maxum 2300 SC, but I can't see an easy way to do so... I can't get to the screw heads unless the hatch opens fully and it can't due to the windscreen... I even tried removing some of the ceiling carpet in the cabin to see if I can get to the other side of the screws, but, alas, I cannot...

SURELY I don't need to remove the whole windscreen to get to these hinges?

Any thoughts/suggestions/tips/ideas greatly appreciated... I have attached 3 photos (I hope), which should illustrate the dilemma?

Many thanks in advance,
Simon

Update: In case anyone reading has the same issue, I solved it. Ended up removing the seal and 5 screws from the port (left) side windshield, which enabled me to pry the windshield just enough to open the hatch sufficiently to access the heads of the screws (see attached pic)... fyi, the original hinges were chrome-plated brass (no wonder it rotted), so I replaced them both with stainless steel... easy-peasy in the end,

Cheers,
Simon
