Default Blue Fiberglass oxidation

Greetings
My 2300SC is a 1995. The blue hull is seriously oxidized and appears a cloudy white film over the blue. I tried a restorative product from the boat show last spring (can't recall the name) applied with a polisher. It did nothing.

Can you recommend the best product or products to use? I love the boat, but it looks shabby out there on the mooring.

Thanks

I've had good success with seapower....polish and cleaner....now for the blue have you tried to use the Mr. Clean sponge thingy??...the admirable swears by it...it does a great job of getting streaks and stuff off....

of course you need to re-wax everything....

the last thing to try would be a fine cut rubbing compound and wax right after that...

Default thanks

I'll look for seapower and start there. I have a mr clean thingy, so will try that, too, but that could prove to be very expensive.

Joe. I have same year/model. Mine is maroon (as in marooned, LOL?) I used Maguires Marine polish with a electric polisher. I had severe sun fade (exposure line from canvas storage cover) and water spotting. The previous owner stored it outside. While I was able to get a good shine, it would not last. I finally broke down a paid to have it professionally detailed.

You can see the results in my gallery.

Very happy with results.

I had a really oxidized baot also. Bought a Maguier's G110 buffer. Used oxidation remover, then put on polish to replenish the oils, then two coats of wax. All maguiers brand.

If you remove the oxidation and don;t add the needed oils back in you are wasting your time

On my 94 MAxum I used Penetrol to get rid of the fadded glass. You need some time before you put it into the water because it drys very slowly. It can be purchased at paint stores for a couple of bucks or at Marine stores for much more. Be sure to buff it out before the stuff drys hard.

I've always thought it more of a 'Syrah' finish. Slightly 'oaky' with a hint of 'spice'.

I'll drink to that, LOL!
