Default 20 Hour Service -Engine oil/Gear oil

I just ticked off the first 20 hours on my 4.3 carbed. I've got a big water party next week and I doubt I can get the oil changed by a dealer in that short of time. I need to get them to look at that diesling issue too, but here's the question, would it be better for me to go ahead and change the oil myself in preperation for next weekend or not bother and just get it to the shop when I can. I can't imagine that three or four more hours over 20 is going to make a big difference.

It hasn't burned any oil what so ever (the dealer said watch carefully as new engines can burn a quart or two during break in) and the oil is as clean and clear as any I've ever seen in an internal combustion engine.

My gear oil was down to the add line though (which I brought back up to the full line). Is this normal to drop that much in 20 hours of operation?

Also, is there anything else a shop does for 20 hour service or is it just an oil change?

Default oil..

just let it go and let the dealer deal with it...a couple of hrs won't do it any harm.....but that would be me....
