Default Stainless Exhaust Manifolds

Right Going to have a go and make some Stainless manifolds for my V6. I don't Like the standard ones they are weak and far too heavy

Does anyone have stainless manifolds fitted? Just wondered if there are any disadvantages to them?

Got the basic design sorted just need to get some parts laser cut once drawn up on cad

nope..but if you could make some up for different models...I betcha you'd make a killing on them....everyone makes the cast versions and stainless would certainly last a heck of a lot longer......let us know how it goes...post pic's...we'd love to see what you come up with.....

My manifolds are now finished (and fitted now)

So just thought I would post a few pictures of them, Not got any of them fitted yet because I always forget about taking pictures when I'm rebuilding something

Let me know what you think

also the orginals weigh 30 kgs, The new ones weigh 6.5 kgs each

Great! Awesome job.

Just make siure you get some sacrificial anodes on there (Preferably inside). And really isolate them from the engine block with heaps or copper grease and gaskets.... or they might bond via Galvanic corrosion.
