Default Runs rough under load

My maxum 2300sc runs rough under load during acceleration. Bogging down and slowly gets up to speed. Once it is up to speed it runs good but cuts out a bit then runs good again. idles fine and during the day we trolled at idle and the boat worked fine. At the end of the day tried accelerating again only to have it cutting out and bogging until it was up on plan and up to speed. on the way home it ran great with no cutting but only at high speed.

We need to know what engine you have. If carbed you could have an issue with the secondaries not opening properly. If MPI I would check out the electrical components.

May also be a fuel pressure or flow problem.

Simple and cheap thing to do is replace the filter. Pour the contents of the old filter into a glass jar to look for the color of the gas, should be a nice golden yellow.

You might also check the fuel pickup hose in fuel tank. Filters first.
