Did not mean to imply you are using junk, just wanted to point out the street components are not CG approved.

In marine use fuel components are either metal or mare rated fuel hose.

BTY I don't have a issue with the line that will be in the tank. Yea I know it's just a nipple fitting that penetrates the tank but you can easily find them in aluminum.

In a confined space the plastic is subject to higher heat in a boat which the plastic does not hold up over time.

You're doing really nice work, just interested in yor safety.

the fitting in the tank is brass, which is threaded into an aluminum AN fitting, which is threaded into the stainless top plate.
if the plastic line ever breaks, it's an internal leak to the tank, which the tank should contain with no problems.

Ah got it, very good and agree with the results of the internal line if it were to rupture.

With the power this engine will have do you have smart or trim tabs to help manage bow rise?

not yet.
I'd like to do something, just not sure if I what will work best.
I have never driven this boat, so I have no idea how it will handle at all.
can't be any worse than the 76 starcraft it replaces.
lol

I guess I would wait to see how she performs. Folks have expressed good results with smart tabs in this size and smaller boats. I like trim tabs as I can adjust for side to side weight distribution depending on crew and gear conditions.

I have been slacking of this project lately. I did start more mock-up yesterday to get accessories mounted.
It's definitely not a project a sane person would pay to have done. I'm certain the time involved would quickly consume the price of a newer boat.
with that said, I just enjoy having something a Lil different than the norm.

I'm waiting on the exhaust shutters so I can button up the exhaust, so I figured I would make the alternator bracket and spacer today. it seems rock solid.

I ended up buying cast risers, I couldn't get the bends tight enough to mate with the factory y pipe. still have to make transitions to connect them, but I think it packaged OK.
I need to finish the cooling system and wiring, along with outdrive maintenance yet....maybe before too much of the summer is over. haha

Are you making or buying a heat exchanger for the cooling system?

Deffinetly a lot of work, heck enough for me just repower with a drop in 5.7.
