Unhappy New at this.

I've got a 1991 Maxum 1800SR. Ran great last year, but it won't start now. Trying to find a service manual, without much luck. Anyone know where i can find 1 in NW Indiana ? Thank you

Welcome aboard

You need a Mercruiser Manual what engine do you have?

Under the Documents tab of this site there are merc manuals or go to

Boatinfo - boat brochures and manuals for boats and marine engines!

What are the symptoms? Crank/no crank, ...

Have you check that the battery is good, good tight/corrosion free connections?

Safety lanyard in the run position?

Default busted boat.

Thanks for the info on service manuals Mike. I forgot about drain plug and boat filled with rain water while sitting for several months. Had some health issues I was dealing with and never paid attn : to the boat. No water in oil, but starter is dragging and seems like there's no spark or fuel getting to carb. It's a 3.0 alfa 1--Thanks again.

Hope you are feeling better.

How high did the water get?

I would start with replacing the starter and go from there.

Once she is cranking normal we can discuss the other issues as the fuel pump may be ok but the slow cranking will take time for it to get fuel to the carb.
