Default Fuel fill prolems

I have gas surging back when filling, has anyone tried a Perko fuel fill hose check valve mod# 14981393? This maybe a WM #!

Fuel is surging back because air in the tank is trying to find a way out. Take a look at your vent line. It is mostly likely clogged or restricted.

Thanks for the reply, it no it is not plugged I ckd that.
I have heard of others having the same problems also.
Just was wondering if anyone had used this ck valve and if it worked and help the fill problem!Thanks

I've always wrapped a damp rag around the nozzle and fueled real slow.

1995 model. I would replace the fuel tank vent. They clog and corrode over time. If the vent can't displace air at the same rate and volume of fuel being installed in the tank, it will eventually 'burp' out of the deck fill. It may seem clear in that it passes air, but it may still not be passing sufficient volume.

Unless there is an obvious kink in the fill hose, then it is ALWAYS the tank vent.

My 1997 has always done this. I replaced the vent and no change gas first spits out the vent then a surge out the fill. IMO both are at the same level and the fill should be higher.
