Default Fresh water cooling kit

Im picking up my new boat on sunday, which is a 2300 SR from 1999 with a newer model 7.4MPI inside. Boat is mainly going to be used in salt water, and probably be on the water for 3-4 months every year. Is it worth it to convert it to freshwater cooling? Anyone have any experience with the kits on ebay from centerstateengine? Probably gonna go for the full kit, which also cools the manifolds and risers... Engine is 5 years old, but haven't been on the water since 2014, so probably not corroded to much inside I hope.

Was that use in salt water? If so it will corrode just sitting. Yes you can install the close cooling but may need to full it a few time as the coolant will get contaminated with rust until all loose material is flushed.

I have not used the system you mention but did use a Seakemp as was very pleased.

Was the exhaust manifolds replaced with the engine? If not you may want to when installing the kit.

Yes, riser and manifolds loos very good, so they are probably ok. I will strip and inspect them just to make sure.. Think I'm gonna use some sort of engine flushing before I fill up with coolant..
