Default Engine will not Turn Over after....

Hello,

Did some routine maintenance today and now the engine will not turn over and no power to blower, bilge etc.. The out-drive does trim up and down though.

Here is what I did,

1. Changed plugs
2. Changed oil and oil filter.
3. Changed fuel filter/water separator.

Boat ran fine before.
Battery if fully charged.
Reset breaker is not tripped.

Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated.

Use a volt meter to check for 12V on the breaker. No voltage the fuse on the start is blown. 12V there, check for 12V on the "B" terminal of the ignition switch.

If it was in gear that would prevent it from cranking but not impact the blower and bilge pump that the OP said aren’t working.

What you did would have no impact on current behavior. In fact no 12v to starter, blower and bilge, but 12v to trim tabs is odd. Are the trim tabs wired directly, while everything else on the battery switch? IS the battery switch on? How about lights?

I think he is talking about trimming up the lower unit.. Mine is direct to the battery as well.

The bilge pump should be wired directly to the battery as well.

The bilge pump float should be directly from the battery but the manual switch at the helm gets power from the fuse panel.

It was the 90 volt fuse located on the starter. Replaced an all is well.

If you divide your watts by the volts the OP said you get amps.
