Default Trim motor broke something

I was lowering my trim in the parking lot when I heard it it the ground. When I tried to raise it back up the whole boat electronic have stopped working. I assume a blown fuse. But since everything is dead it must be some kind of master fuse. When I got out of the boat I saw the outdrive 2 inches into the dirt. So I assume it got stuck and the motor drew a big load.

Any ideas? Like I said. Nothing electronic in the boat works now. Everything is dead.

Welcome aboard.

You did not state what engine package you have but Mercruiser has a breaker that is mounted on the engine, look for a RED button and press to reset it. The trim pump also has a inline fuse next to the pump assembly. This breaker provides power to the engine systems however things such as the blower, bilge pump, radio are not on this circuit and should still work.

Default Just to clarify

Step 1. Dig prop out of dirt.
Step 2. Try resetting main breaker on top of engine.
Step 3. Check Trim pump inline fuse? Will I need to buy a new one before I try this?

BTW, I have the 5L Mercruiser

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Depends if step does not fix the issue. You can test the fuse before buying a replacement.

So does the blower and bilge pump currently work? If not the issues lies else where.
