if your talking about the digital depth guage that comes with the boat....it's notoriously wrong...what happens when it reads --- is that the moving boat runs over a thermal clime or maybe some bubbles under the hull and the transducer looses it's return signal......the digital depth guage is extremely weak and isn't really a good unit...that's why most of us get an after market fishfinder or depth guage and turn the other one off....at least one with a couple hundred watts will usually penetrate thermal climes and currents....

I'm pretty sure you won't find anything wrong with the transducer....

Hi I have the same on my 3000csr 1998 and no display. The previous owner had fitted a hummingbird fish finder with the external transducer I guess the original depth finder donít work. So I love a copy of the manual also

This is my first boat and first season with it, up to today the depth sounder has been dead on from 1-100'+ haven't been any deeper. It even saved me one night coming into a an unfamilure cove, luckily it was just a sand bar. So I use it often...
