Default electric head not getting water - maxum 2600se 2007

hi all,

I'm new to the club...
I have a Maxum 2600se 2007 with an electric seawater head.

the electric pump itself is working and the seawater intake seacock is open.

but the bowl is still not getting water.

i don't understand where the boat gets the seawater from (somewhere on the bottom)
and i think it's maybe clogged.

does anyone knows where is the seawater intake is at the bottom (the boat is in the water and i want to check if it's clogged)
or maybe have a different idea to what is the cause for the water not getting to the bowl?

thanks a lot.

Ori

Ori welcome aboard.

Not an expert here but are you sure the head is using raw water (seawater) and not freshwater? Is the freshwater tank full? Have you traced the raw water line on the seacock and confirmed it goes to the head and not A/C.

If truely raw water the open position is when the handle is inline with the hose.

Default it's seawater

thanks for the fast reply...

from what I investigated I think that the seawater intake at the bottom is clogged.

Does anyone knows how the seawater intake looks like at the bottom or where is it located at the bottom ??

I want to dive and see if there is something blocking the seawater entry.

*I'm attaching the specific manual…

The one on my boat looks like this:

Try removing the hose from the inside and place it in a bucket of water and see if the head works.

i removed the pump from the hose and placed it in water and it worked...

the picture you add was just what i wanted.. great..
is it placed at the front , back or about the middle of the bottom?
and is there only one? or that the AC also has one of its own?

Ori.

Welcopme Aboard Ori Shalom!!

In the diagram you posted, you can see where the seacock is located. There is a hatch in your cabin sole, the seacock itself is right in there. It should be fairly close to the hatch for the head. The intake is in the exact same spot on the exterior of the hull. When inside, get a reference point from the seacock to a porthole/portlight. Make note of how far from the keel. Now when exterior, line yourself up with the portlight and dive. Many times they get clogged with barnacles.

As shrew points out it will be mid ship. Not sure if you have A/C but they tend to be in the engine compartment.
