Default Anyone use a Yamaha EF2000iS

Now that I got the boat, I need the toys Looking at generators and I am leaning towards the Yamaha. Tried both the Honda and the Yamaha out at the RV store and the Yamaha just seems quieter. Also I like the styling and the feel of the Yamaha a bit better. Anyone have any opinions or does anyone actually own one?

NOOO....I may be new to boating, but even I know that. Might store it there, not run it there though. Figure trap it to the swim platform. Figure 2000 watts is ample to run basic things? Plan on replacing the TV's with LED TVs, which consumer alot less power. If the AC is used, it will be on a low setting as it doesn't really get too warm on Lake Erie or Ontario

I just purchased the Yamaha 2000 because I thought the same about it being quieter. I did take it out of the Box but have not run it yet. I did some checking on some of the power requirements of my max and this unit looks like it will run everything on the boat, just not all at once. Unfortunately our boating season in PA does not start for another month and a half or I would be able to post a review. If you happen to purchase one and get to use it before I get a round to it, I would be interested in what your opinion of the unit would be. thanks

Going to order it today. Have a few Cabela's Gift cards and at their website, they have it for 995 with free shipping and NO TAX. Our season doesn't start until mis-April early May either.
