Default AC Power short- anyone else?

My friends,

Going out on a limb here to see if anyone else has had an issue with not getting AC power from one of the two shore power connectors. Just curious if there are any "typical" areas that seem to short out first.

I have a 2500 SCR with dual shore power connectors. They were working last fall when I bought the boat, but now only line 2 will power up. I played extensively with the cord in switching it around, but never received any power indications on the volt-meter or the polarity light on line 1. Tried the transfer with no luck, but in reviewing the manual, it appears that it only works to power 1 to 2.

In chasing the diagram, I see a common AC bus and galvonic isolators. Are these located behind the AC panel? Has anyone had corroded terminals behind that?

I expect I will be spending some time chasing this little issue, but if I want Air Conditioning before summer hits, it's gotta be done. Any experience or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Scott

On my '97 2400 SCR line 2 is for the A/C, is the A/C running?

Line 1 power the rest of the AC circuits. Sounds like you have to pull the panel and search for an open.

If there was a short the dock breaker should blow.

pull the panel and see if one of the leads have come off or see if you have power coming into the panel.
On our '98 2800 scr the connectors are just the crimp and push on style and they can work loose.
I'd start there.

You may want to verify you're getting power TOO the main breaker on circuit #2. If so, I might be the main breaker itself. I stared having some odd issues which were resolved when I replaced all the AC breakers in the panel.
