Default 83/200khz tansponder

I called Cabelas, and never got a definite answer on my question....

Will a 83/200 transducer work in 100 ft salt water? I know the 50/200 is salt water below 900 feet, but I read somewhere that the 83's don't work well in salt water. I want to fish in Mission Bay in San Diego occasionally where it's not 900 feet deep, but am hesitant on getting the 83 that might work better in fresh water, but not well in Mission Bay.

chuck...welcome to the zoo...personally I'd say that the extra 33 hz isn't going to make much of a difference.....it should be fine...

Thanks SP, the 83/200 is working great in both salt & fresh water, now I just have to figure out how to catch'em.
