Default Close to purchase

Hi, I may be a bit premature here, but I am on the cusp of purchasing a 2005 2200 SR3. Interior is in great shape, but the exterior has some dock rash and the Bravo 3 has the dreaded gimbal ring slop. Close to 700hrs with all covers, bimini and wake tower. The price is 11,000 and they won't budge even with the pending repair. What are everyone's thoughts? Decent price even with the repair? Anything else I should be on the lookout for?

Thanks!

Welcome aboard

Did you get a quote for how much the repairs will be? Have you priced this boat on line (yachtworld) to ensure purchase price plus repairs is fair. With 700 hours and being used to pull wake boarders I would have a mechanic perform a health inspection of the engine; compression test, oil analysis,...

Is it a fresh or salt water boat?

Thanks for the thoughts. I do have a quote for $1900 for the repair. I actually got a few prices, that that was the best I could find. I figured even if I am in for $13,000, its still seems like a decent price. I did not have a complete health inspection done, but did check fluids and water tested it before making my offer. Seemed to run perfect, besides the slop in the steering.

100% fresh water up here in Michigan, so thats a positive.

Any other things I should be considering?

Replace the impeller, drain a little gear lube to look for any signs of water, inspect/replace bellows.
