Another Newbie logging in. Just google searched and found the site. Just bought my first boat 2900 scr based in UK on inland waters but hoping to get it out to our home in Spain I would welcome all advice and comments especially on the new boat.Any contact with Maxum owners in the UK and Spain (Alicante/Torrevieja) would also be welcome.

Newb from Ft. Worth, TX. Have a 1998 2300 SR. Found the site through google search, looking for some basic info and pro's and con's from current Maxum owners. Been a boating enthusiast all my life, had a couple other boats in the past. Seems to ba a good solid boat so far!

    Hey everyone,
Thanks for the greeting SP. I live on Long Island in New York with my wife and three kids. Had a beater boat a few years back and gave boating a try without a big outlay. Of course, we all loved. Got rid of the beater and bought a 21' 2001 Maxum Sport Deck. For a nine year old boat, the Owner took impeccable care of it. It looks like new. She runs really well with only 118 hrs on the motor and even has bow and stern thusters. I thought they were a joke at first, but when tying up with a moured boat this past weekend, everyone was surprised at how well they worked. Very cool. I was a shocked however, to find out that Maxum is no longer in business. Guess I should have done more research.....First time joining a forum. I'm a little slow getting around the site. Talk to you guys/girls later.

    Default New to the zoo

    Hi all,
I'm new to this club but have been looking at it for some time. It's very informative and it's nice to know others love their Maxum's as much as I do.
My wife and I have a 1994 3200SCR. I bought it with bad engines knowing that I would install a pair of 300hp ea. Vortec engines.
We boat on the lower Connecticut River, and Long Island Sound.
This is our 3rd boat, we've been boating since 1998.

Greetings again, Erik! As Ed said, no worries on the language. I have to admit I'm impressed at all the helpful people around here too.

I really like the idea of living on a boat for the summer and snuggle away in a condo in the winter. Sounds like a great time! Enjoy the 2300 in the meantime.
