David.......It is finally snowed here in my town. I think we might get three or four inches of the white stuff. Go fire up the snow blower, salt our very steep driveway etc etc etc!

I have always enjoyed the changing season here in the midwest but.........must be old age looking me in the face but I am growing tired of it quickly. You and your wife are very lucky to enjoy your hobby year around. Your very very lucky that you have a wife that enjoys your hobby with you year around.

Damn, what a slow year. We finally made it back to the boat this past weekend. This is the first time in over two years that we missed three consecutive weekends on the boat. That is more than we missed in all of 2011.

We are only at 3 nights and 39 miles traveled. In the near future I am anticipating missing another two or three consecutive weeks as we are planning on pulling the boat to have the props redone, new shafts installed and new bottom paint.

enjoy the warmth.....we were at 49 degs last weekend and I got to run my engines for the first time since oct.....then blow them back down to re-winterize them......boy I sure wanna go out on the boat!!!

winter has started here in the netherlands...6.8 fahrenheit (-14) at night with a little bit of snow....but how long it will keep on......they do'nt know......i'm hungry for the sun......

Winter.......... nevermind...........It has been in the lower 60's here in the midwest for the last few days. That little furey rat that is suppose to come out today...........well he might just stay out.

We've been out several times this year(2012). It has been rather warm lately, mid 70's all last week. This week I will be land locked, its going to be cold all week, mid 50's.
I'm ten miles from my slip, about a 15 minute drive so I go out there 2-3 times during the week and just watch a little Tv, chat with nieghbors and piddle.
There is usually someone around doing something. I got my ice machine installed so we are ready for summer.
The 50" plasma helps to reduce the boardom during the week if I don't have anything to rig on the boat.
For now I'm waiting on the LED's to come in so I can that done.

We did not go to the boat this weekend as the props did not return from the prop shop in Chesapeake VA. They are due here on Monday. Last Saturday I did go up and change the tranny fluid as well as relocate the two reading lights in the front berth. I am having serious boat withdrawals. Assuming the props are on we will be out next weekend - rain, snow or shine.

We have two cats that allow us to live at their house during the off season. One of them (Sammy) is a big (19 LBS tabby) likes to meow alot, almost likes to banshee at times. Usually sometimes during the night both cats get locked out of the bedroom so my wife and I can get some sleep during the night in their house.

The point of all this is that is why we love to sleep on our boat during the weekends because those two FU$Kin cats that meow like mountain lions in heat everynight,are not there on our boat. It is just such a restful sleep. Sooo relaxing!

We had a bad night of howling last night and the wife and I were talking about can't wait to have our first night on the boat. Yes it can't get spring quick enough.

oh man....that's why I have dogs...they like to sleep at the same time we do....plus they have thier own beds.....
on the boat...they sleep at the bottom of the berth....or in the vee of the decking fwd....yep...definitely nice on the boat....

SP, Question what do you do for the puppy's "rest stop" requirements whilst out on anchor?, I would really like to take my old mate out but worried about his ability to "go", he is house trained but normally stays out doors, and its not like im going to get up in the middle of the night open the transom load him into the tender and head ashore for him! just wondering if you have any helpful hints.

PS 3500SCR so i have room
